Training Diary - Week 3 Day 4
Another turbo session down. It was hard not to hit the road today but I’m scheduled for an hour out there tomorrow. I was in the car for some of the day and passed a four soloists en-route. That made my yearning worse.
Tonight was decent, legs felt good. It was warm though (20-21°C) which made for even more drippiness than normal. The time may be approaching to invest in a fan.
I’d like to think the magnificent Irish victory in Paris had something to do with my energy tonight. What marvellous men they are.

Training Diary - Week 3 Day 2
After a nice rest yesterday I was eager to jump aboard again tonight.
A brief warm-up (powered by Chuck), a thirty minute blast (powered by TheSufferfest), and a high cadence warm-down.
Nowt much else to report, another rest day tomorrow.

Training Diary - Week 2 Day 7
Fantastic weather for a spin today. Fresh, sharp, sunny, and a gentle breeze.
I overcooked the session by thirty minutes, which was due to my poor choice of course. I should have stuck to the route I’d planned before leaving the house, but for reasons unknown to me I changed route pretty early.
I can definitely feel the affects of the training in my legs now. There’s some strength hidden in there, and my tempo riding feels faster.
An added bonus today is that my bike cleaning session tomorrow should be relatively painless as the roads were bone dry.
Two weeks down, only eight more to go.

Training Diary - Week 2 Day 5
Three turbo sessions in a row, but this is the first one I’ve felt stronger in. I was pleasantly surprised at how the legs felt. Not getting ahead of myself, but it’s nice to be able to measure some progress in terms of just how the legs feel.
I made a boo-boo with my measuring; I paused my Garmin while I changed my viewing from Chuck to The Sufferfest. Of course I forgot to restart it, so I lost eleven or so minutes of data. Not a big deal at all, but niggly all the same.
I’ve a day off tomorrow, and then a nice outdoor spin planned for Tuesday.
